Very thin structures cannot be handled by GoSimulate. The geometry in GoSimulate is represented by a 3d-primitive and is as such not very suitable to represent geometry which essentially is a 2d or a 1d-structure.
When analyzing very thin structures, the program will be forced to produce extremely small (relative the part) primitives and thus requiring extremely many of them to represent the whole part. Often though, what has been thought of as being a too thin structure, has been handled perfectly well in GoSimulate, so try it before giving up.
In order to handle these structures well, two new geometric
primitives must be added, beams and shells.
